Makes 8 Slices
1 Large French Baguette
1/2 Cup Tomato Paste
1/4 Teaspoon Dried Oregano
1/4 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder
2 Tablespoon Olive Oil
1/2 Cup of Grated Mozzarella Cheese
- Preheat the Oven to 425 degrees.
- Cut the bread in half lengthwise and brush each half with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Then cut it into 8 different pieces and bake it in the oven for about 5 minutes or until the surface of the bread feels dry.
- Mix the tomato paste, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, and remaining olive oil so that all of the spices are distributed. Add water if the sauce looks to thick. It should have the consistency of marinara.
- Spread on the marinara sauce on the bread and sprinkle it with cheese. Bake for 5 minutes until the cheese is completely melted.
